In some way or other, every living creature expresses its need for sustenance, whether the call is articulated through audible cries, wilted leaves, or a big old howl, “Man, I’m hungry!” The quest to obtain food is at the foundation of our every day life, whether we grow it, make it, or buy it.
This exhibit presents ways in which artists in a variety of media relate to – and represent – food in its many forms.
